My husband and I visited the North Georgia Mountains for the first time in 2000. We immediately began the search for a second home in the area.Soon afterwards, my husband had an offer for a job transfer to Woodstock, Georgia. He jumped at the chance and was more than willing to make the daily commute to accommodate a life in God’s Country.
I closed my marketing business in Pensacola, Florida and took a year off to enjoy all that the mountains have to offer. I decided that I be of no better service to others than to help them is finding their perfect place in the mountains too. My career in real estate allows me to use my experience in marketing, advertising, and customer service while meeting some of the finest people on earth. Whether you are looking for a cabin on a creek or lake, a place with mountain views, or just a little peace and quiet with wildlife as your nearest neighbors; I have probably already know the perfect place for you.
My husband and I built our dream home on the Ellijay River in a golf course community. We have an awesome mountain and pasture view.We watch the sun rise over the mountains and sleep to the sounds of rumbling river water.Last spring we had the pleasure of watching from our back deck as 13 new calves played in the pasture. We often see wild turkey, deer, raccoon, and chipmonks from our property.Yet we are an easy drive to Atlanta or Chattanooga for the rare occasions when we miss something a big city has to offer. We are motorcycle riders and there’s no more beautiful place to bike than in the North Georgia Mountains.
I have received many awards for high sales volume, but I am much more proud to have received awards for other accomplishments. These include: Woman of the Year, Business Associate of the Year, Knighthood in the Order of The Knights of Visio, Publisher’s Award for Meritorious Service, and graduation from both Leadership Pensacola and Leadership Gilmer County. I take my responsibility to give back to my community seriously.I serve on several committees for the Northeast Georgia Board of Realtors and on the Better Hometown Committee for Ellijay.
I know there’s a theory that we shouldn’t say we treat people like we like to be treated, because people might not like the same treatment we do. But I disagree; I think we all want to be treated with respect, patience, kindness and good manners (my manners are definitely southern). I think we all want to be listened to and taken seriously. I welcome the opportunity to help you find your dream home.
